Easter Candle 058

Those of you who 

follow me for some time

must already know that

purples and lilacs are 

my favorite colours.

So, naturally, 

this candle is one 

of my favorites! 

I really love the way 

the coloured sand, the strass  

and the ribbons came together. 

If my godfather wasn't going 

to bring me a candle, 

this is the candle i would like 

to have with me 

at the night of Easter this year.

I used a lot of coloured sand 

on my candles, this year. 

In combination with the ribbons, 

they give a nice outcome! 

I must admit, 

I didn't expect it to look so good.

This year, i used a lot of twine 

on my Easter candles. 

It might be a simple, common material, 

but it looks really nice on the candles.

That's something new. 

I used coloured rice on this candle. 

It's mostly pink, 

but there are some light blue grains too. 

And, of course, butterflies!!!

I really love sea themes

for Easter candles!

Combining twine with the little dolphins

and some blue aromatic sand

seemed like a nice way 

to decorate this candle.

This may be the easiest candle 

i've ever made. 

I just glued those little 

eggs and chicks on it. 

I can't say i like it very much. 

But i guess it could be good 

for very young children...

Easter Candle donation 2017 (IV)

Flowers and petals are 

one of my favorite ways to decorate candles.

But i didn't use them too much this year.

I think the candles are more simple this year. 

In compare with other years,

 they do not have a lot of stuff on them. 

I believe that's better.

Another new thing i did this year 

is using glitter and aromatic sand 

on the candles. 

This, along with some nice ribbons, 

created some really nice candles. 

I got some really good comments 

for those candles!

I used flowers and ribbons 

as always! 

But i also used twine. 

I think they look good! 

I think i'll do that again :-)

Twine is an easy thing to use 

in order to decorate candles. 

It fits with nearly everything. 

Plus, it comes in many sizes 

so i can even use a combination 

of different kinds of twine.

instead of glitter glue.

Again, 

I had to be extremely careful with it. 

But i believe it worth it!
