This paper is not exactly made for this use

but it works REALLY well! 

I am following the Christams theme 

for this painting. 

I used a little bit of salt on the background. 

That is  very interesting techique!

The Jellyfish

I really miss the sea

But i can't say that i miss Jellyfishes

Wine

This was just an experiment.

I wanted to try this new paper.

It is stone paper...

Yes, it is paper made of stone! 

It is a very interesting material 

to work with! 

It is heavier that anyone would expect 

even though it is quite thin 

and it is very flexible. 

It take more time to dry

and it smudges easily, 

so it must be used with care!

For this little painting I used 

Winsor & Newton ink and watercolours.

Dreamy Daffodil

Most people would paint

a Daffodil from the front side.

I chose the back side.

This is something we 

do not see very often. 

So, i though: 'why not?

Let's paint a Daffodil 

fasing the night sky!

Who knows what the flower is dreaming of?'

Inky love

This little squid was 

so much fun to paint! 

I think it was the point of 

no return for me. 

I really loved using the ink in this way

and i kept doing that. 

The ink works perfectly 

with the watercolours. 

I use Winsor and Newton inkk 

which is waterproof and 

then i can paint all over it!

Little mouse

This is a picture i am really proud of!

I never had any training in arts, so

most of the complicated pictures

are really difficult for me.

I tend to prefer simple pictures. 

This one was a little bit challenging for me. 

But i did it!

I do not like it as much as the first one... 

But it is not so bad...

'Wolpertinger'

A wolpertinger (also called wolperdinger or woiperdinger) 
is a mythological hybrid animalthat is said to inhabit 
the alpine forests of Bavaria in Germany. 
They are often characterised as being mischievous.

It has a body comprising various animal parts —

 generally wings, antlers, tails and fangs, 

all attached to the body of a small mammal. 

The most widespread description 

portrays the Wolpertinger as having 

the head of a rabbit, the body of a squirrel, 

the antlers of a deer, and the wings 

and occasionally the legs of a pheasant.

Well, my Wolpertinger does not

look exactly like that,

but it is quite close.

My boyfriend, which is a German,

recognised it immediately! 

So I am ok with my version of it! 

My Wolpertinger is made with 

ink and watercolours on 

watercolour paper.

I really love this painting! 

This painting is made on 

a Hahnemühle watercolour postcard. 

The flowers are painted with watercolour pencils, 

the 'Albrecht Dürer' line by Faber-Castell.

Those are some really amazing tools to use! 

I really love the fact that 

now i have access to those tools!
