Snowy Forest

Watercolour on Clairefontaine
mixed media paper.
I really like this painting!
This paper is not exactly made for this use
but it works REALLY well!
I am following the Christams theme
for this painting.
I used a little bit of salt on the background.
That is  very interesting techique!
So, what do you think???

Halloween 2018 Project 3: The pumpkins

I know this is something
some people do every year.
But that was my first time
carving a pumpkin.
I must admit
it was really fun!
I will definitely do that again!
So, what do you think of my pumpkins?

Halloween 2018 Project 2: The candle synthesis

I fell upon a lot of videos with instructions
on how to make floating candles.
They were mostly the kind of candles
we know from the Harry Potter movies.
I thought that that was a fantastic idea.
Only, I didn't want to make them fly!
So I build up the candles
and i created this little synthesis.
I also made the Charon.
I used toilet paper rolls, a kitchen tawel roll
and lot of hot glue for the candles.
Then i painted them with white acrylic.
I used cornstartch , water and black paint
to paint some tissue fabric
and then i covered the skeleton with it.
I added LED candles
to create an impression of flames.
So, what do you think???

Halloween 2018 Project 1: The candle holder

I really loved the idea of making
a candle holder with a Halloween theme.
This was the first thing i made.
The bats and the skulls
are made with molds.
The rest, I shaped with free hand.
I used Fimo clay for this project.

Sleepy Bunny

This painting was a surprise for me.
I still look at it and
i can't believe i made this.
I have a feeling that it is
one of those digital posters...
Maybe i'm just foolish...
So, my sleepy bunny is painted
with ink, watercolours
and watercolour pencils.
What do you think???

The Pearl

It was part of the gift i made

'Dreaming of Greece'

I really miss my country!
I thought being away would be easy
but it is not!
I am better than ever,
but i miss my people,
and that endless blue of Greece!
So, i painted it!

Bird nest

This painting is made on
handmade cotton paper.
It is a wonderful paper
to use with watercolours.
I used my Lukas
watercolour set for this painting.

The Jellyfish

I really miss the sea
and everything about it!
But i can't say that i miss Jellyfishes
:-P
I thought it would be nice
to try and paint a Jellyfish.
I've never tried it before.
I used Winsor & Newton ink
and watercolours.

Wine

This was just an experiment.
I wanted to try this new paper.
It is stone paper...
Yes, it is paper made of stone!
It is a very interesting material
to work with!
It is heavier that anyone would expect
even though it is quite thin
and it is very flexible.
It take more time to dry
and it smudges easily,
so it must be used with care!
For this little painting I used
Winsor & Newton ink and watercolours.
What do you think?

Magnolia

This a wishing card.
I painted the flower on it
using watercolour pencils.
I really love making wishing cards!
What do you think?

Cornflowers
