Bam! It's your Birthday!

 

Hello everyone! I have a second card for you tonight. This one is also made for the @createasmilestamps Moodboard challenge and for the @simonsaysstamp Wednesday challenge. My images for this card come from the ''Bloomy'' stamp set. They are heat embossed on Hahnemühle Bamboo paper, with WOW Opaque Bright White embossing powder and coloured with Distress Oxide (DO) inks in colours Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Abandoned Coral, for the blooms, and Mowed Lawn for the leaves. For my background, I used two panels (one big, one small) of my Hahnemühle Bamboo paper and I did some ink smooshing with DO Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Abandoned Coral. I backed both panels with white cardstock. For my sentiment, I used two stamp sets from the last Advent Calendar. The big Bam comes from the ''Bam!'' stamp set, and the rest comes from the ''Let's Celebrate'' stamp set. They are stamped with VersaFine Clair Cheerful ink (yellow ink) and heat embossed with the Distress Saltwater Taffy embossing glaze. I do not have an orange ink and I found that this combination could give me a nice orange colour. So, I put everything together, added some embellishments, and the card was done! This was an easy and fast card but I really liked it! What do you think???

Yellow Poppies card

 

Hello, hello! I am here again, with my second card made for the current @createasmilestamps Moodboard challenge and for the @simonsaysstamp Wednesday challenge. Lots of things going on on this card! My images come from the ''Pure Poppies'' stamp set. They are stamped on Fabriano Bristol paper and coloured with the Illustrator by Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. For my background, I used a ruler stencil, with circles (it's a common school thing) with Distress Oxide inks in colours Vintage Photo, Mowed Lawn, Abandoned Coral, Wild Honey and Squeezed Lemonade. I just used the inks through the circles of the stencil. In the end, I also made some circles with VersaCraft White ink. On top of all those circles, I used a Florileges text stamp with VersaFine Clair Nocturne ink. I splattered everything with Solar Gold PearlEx solution and then I used a punch to decorate one side of my panel. The punch left me with some little flower shapes and I used them on my background. My sentiment comes from the ''Kroküsse'' stamp set. It is heat embossed on yellow cardstock, with WOW Primary Ebony embossing powder. I put everything together, added some embellishments, and the card was done!!! I do not used that much yellow very often, but I think it is a very nice, happy colour! What do you think???

Yellow Crokus card

 

Hello everyone! I have a new card to show you today. This card was made for the @createasmilestamps Moodboard challenge and for the @simonsaysstamp Wednesday challenge. I used the ''Kroküsse'' stamp set with Faber-Castell Polychromos pencils and I coloured directly on my note card, which is a Clairefontaine Kakao card. My sentiment come from the same stamp set. It is heat embossed directly on my card, with WOW Primary Lemon embossing powder. I splattered my card with Perfect Pearl solution, added some pearls on the centers of some of my flowers and Glossy Accents on the rest of the flowers, and the card was done. I really like using the pencils on kraft. This particular paper has a unique texture and it works wonderfully! One more reason to use my pencils on it!!!!

''You are a rare seed'' card

 

Hello everyone! I have a second card to show you tonight! This is my fourth participation in the @createasmilestamps Sketch challenge. For this card, my images come from the ''Bloomy'' stamp set. They are stamped on Fabriano Bristol paper and coloured with the Marabu Sketch Marker Grafix alcohol markers. I cut my foliage out of green cardstock, using the ''Fünf verschiedene Äste'' dies from the Stanzenshop.de. I heat embosse a sentiment from the ''Kroküsse'' stamp set, on a stripe of white cardstock, with WOW Primary Apple Red embossing powder. For my background, I used the ''Hintergrund 1'' die from Idee mit Herz. I cut it out of white cardstock and I attached it on white. My smaller panel is left plane. I put everything together, added some red gems, and the card was done! Leaving so much white is something I do not usually manage to do. I typically use colour everywhere... and I mean everywhere! But this time I liked the idea of pure white contrasting my red flowers. I think it looks nice. What do you think???

''Hello Sweetheart'' Heart card

 

Hey everyone! I am back with my third card for the @createasmilestamps Sketch challenge. I made another die cut card! For this card, I used Clairefontaine mix media paper (because it works with whatever I might want to do). I cut two panels, a full card frond and a smaller panel. Then I used the ''Cool Cuts Bigger Hearts'' dies with mirror fuchsia cardstock, to cut all of my hearts. These dies cut the main hearts and the heart frames at once! I also cut a circle, using the Sizzix Circles Framelits dies. For my sentiment, I used the ''Cool Cuts Hello Twice'' dies with white and mirror fuchsia cardstock. I also heat embossed a companion sentiment from the ''Just Saying Hello'' stamp set, on a stripe of mirror fuchsia cardstock, with WOW Opaque Bright White embossing powder. I backed my smaller panel with mirror fuchsia cardstock. I put everything together and the card was done! This kind of card is very unusual for me, but I really like how the fuchsia looks on the white! What do you think???

''Hello'' - A Bee card

 

And hello again! I have a second card to show you tonight. Off course, it is made for the @createasmilestamps Sketch challenge. This card is a little bit different than what I usually make. My images come from the ''Hey Honey'' stamp set. They are stamped on Fabriano Bristol paper and coloured with the Illustrator by Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. For my background, I cut two panels of Clairefontaine mix media paper, one panel smaller that the other. Then I used the ''Hintergrund 1'' die cut, by Idee mit Hearz, together with mirror gold cardstock. I attached the actual die cut piece on my big panel and the inside pieces on my smaller panel, cutting them in such way as to leave a cirlce open space. My sentiment is cut out of my Clairefontaine paper and mirror gold cardstock, using the ''Cool Cuts Hello Twice'' dies, and it is attached on a stripe of black cardstock. I also backed my smaller panel with black cardstock and I attached the bigger panel on my black note card. I put everything together and the card was done! I usually do not use die cuts to this extence. Die cut pieces are usually just accents on my card. But I really liked this idea! What do you think??? ''Bam! It's your Birthday'' card

 

Hello everyone! I decided to take part to the @createasmilestamps Sketch challenge. I am a guest designer this time, so I was not sure if I was going to participate, but I really want to!!! So, for this card I started with images from the ''Bloomy'' stamp set. They are stamped on Hahnemühle Bamboo mix media paper(works perfectly for watercolour) and coloured with Distress Oxide inks (DO) in colours Saltwater Taffy and Victorian Velvet. For my background, I just dragged my Saltwater Taffy inkpad on a panel of Clairefontaine mix media paper. Then I used the ''Confetti Hearts'' stencil with DO Victorian Velvet and Nuvo Glimmer paste (colour Moonstone). I just used a spatula to drag the rest of the (coloured) glimmer paste on a smaller panel. For my sentiment I cut a circle and a stripe and I used the ''Bam!'' and the ''Let's Celebrate'' stamp sets with DO Saltwater Taffy ink and Saltwater Taffy Distress Glaze. I put everything together, added some crystals, and the card was done! I really like the pink colours and this new Distress colour is just amazing! What do you think???

Create a Smile Guest Design for Aprirl's Sketch challenge!

 

Hello everyone! There is a new challenge  at @createasmilestamps and I am a guest designer in it. I was feeling pink! :-D For this card, I started with two panels of Clairefontaine mix media paper and Distress Oxide (DO) inks in colours Victorian Velvet and Worn Lipstick. I rubbed the ink pads on the paper, to create a stripy kind of colouring, letting some white areas show through. I splattered one panel with Perfect Pearl solution and used it as my background. From the other panel I cut my flower figures, using the ''Cool Cuts Summer Florals'' dies. I also cut flower figures out of white cardstock and I attached them on the background. My sentiment is cut with the ''Cool Cuts Hello Twice''. The main 'Hello' is cut out of the pink painted panel and the shadow is cut out of white cardstock. It is attached on a strip of my pink painted panel. I also used some pink Alphabet stickers (slightly colourd with Victorian Velvet ink) to finish my sentiment. I used the egg from the ''dEGGorations'' stamp set to create the eggs I used as center piece. They are watercolourd with DO Victorian Velvet, Seedless Preserves and Dusty Concord inks. I put everything together, added some sequins and the card was done! I am sooooo happy to create for @createasmilestamps ! The challenge runs for 12 days! There are still 4 days to go!!! Grungy card

Hello everyone! This is yet another card made for an old   @createasmilestamps Sketch challenge and the @simonsaysstamp Wednesday challenge. This time I was inspired by the grungy look of #timholtz creations. I didn't manage the look, but I tried :-P. My images come from the "Quill & Ink" stamp set. They are stamped on Fabriano Bristol paper and coloured with the Illustrator by Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. For my background, I used Clairefontaine mix media paper. I did some ink smooshing with Distress Oxide inks in colours Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. Then I used the "Blossom" stencil with Distress Crackle Texture paste. I left the paste dry a little bit before I heavily splattere my panel with Vintage Photo ink and Perfect Pearl solution. For my layers, I used some specialty paper (it feels almost like fabric). I tore it and darkened the edges with the Vintage Photo ink and I stamped the little splotch image from my set all over the card. I also used the same ink around the whole panel. I used WOW Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder to heat emboss my sentiment on the parchment image. I put everything together, added some sequins and the card was done. I am not very good with the grungy look. I really like bright colours. But making this card was fun! It is always nice trying something new! What do you think?

Pure Poppies card

 

Hello, everyone! I am back with a card from a @createasmilestamps Moodboard challenge. This card was also my first participation in the "I Support Design, Not Crime" campaign. For this card, my images come from the "Pure Poppies"stamp set. They are stamped on Fabriano Bristol paper and coloured with the Illustrato by Spectrum Noir alcohol markers. I used two panels of Clairefontaine mix media paper. For the background, I did some ink smooshing with Distress Oxide inks (DO) in colours Antique Linen and Vintage Photo. For the foreground, first i scored my panel and then i rubbed my inkpands from top to bottom. My colours are DO Mowed Lawn, Rustic Wilderness and a little bit of Vintage Photo. I used the Sizzix Circles Framelits to cut my foreground panel as well as a circle frame from kraft Clairefontaine paper. My sentiment comes from the "Don't Worry" stamp set. It is heat embossed on kraft paper, with WOW Metallic Silver embossing powder. I put everything together, added some embellishments, and the card was done! The date on the inside is not random. This is a birthday card. I hope you like it!
